I have been following Adele through Instagram and love watching her journey unfold. she is one of those artists whose energy naturally draws people in — both in person and through her work. As a fellow Tasmanian artist, her paintings feel deeply connected to place, memory and movement, carrying a sense of rhythm that reflects her lifelong connection to the outdoors and the water.
Adele creates expressive, narrative-driven paintings inspired by everyday life and the feeling of a moment rather than a perfect representation of it. Growing up surrounded by ocean, bushland and open skies has clearly shaped the way she sees the world, and that sense of light, freedom and movement flows through her work beautifully.
After exhibiting in Melbourne earlier this year, it’s exciting to have Adele involved in this show and sharing her vibrant, emotionally driven practice with our community.
About the work
Out of Office captures that feeling of finally switching into holiday mode. The out of office reply is set, your bags are packed, and suddenly life feels lighter, more exciting, and full of possibility. This piece is all about carefree days, warm afternoons, good energy, and the kind of moments that make you want time to slow down. Through colour and layered detail, I wanted the work to feel like a vibrant memory of freedom, joy, and pure holiday excitement.
